Bentonite is a natural mineral that is widely present in nature. It has obvious water absorption, thixotropy, viscoelasticity, and dispersibility. Used in cat litter, it can enhance the dry wet separation effect of cat litter, making it cleaner and more hygienic. Bentonite is also a natural mineral that can adsorb water well after processing, making it a good filler and drainage agent.
Bentonite has unique physical and chemical properties, usually in the form of gel or semi gel, with good water absorption, thixotropy and viscoelasticity. In addition, bentonite also has good adhesive and filling material properties. In addition, bentonite also contains a large amount of water-soluble salt components, which can promote particle dispersion and aggregation, and have good adsorption capacity. Compared with clay minerals, bentonite has higher water absorption and lower drying speed, providing an ideal and comfortable environment for cats with stronger water absorption. Bentonite has certain hydrophilicity and oleophility, so its product quality is less affected by moisture.
Hydrolysis characteristics: Bentonite has a high water absorption rate and good water absorption, which can better absorb water and make cat litter drier and cleaner. It will not react with other substances in water. Bentonite has a good affinity for organic acids and can be used as a stabilizer for organic acids. Bentonite can effectively remove organic matter and inorganic salts from feces, while also inhibiting pathogenic bacteria and parasites. Bentonite has strong attraction to trace minerals such as calcium, which can improve its adsorption capacity for metal ions, organic salts, and inorganic salts, and enhance its adsorption capacity for small molecule organic compounds.
